Carrbridge

A very old bridge for horses to cross the river , a pretty place and well out of the way.

Inverness

A balanced and calm city. we mostly refueled ourselves and the car for the journey ahead.

Loch Ness

This famous lake was pretty and vast, offered little in attraction but the parallel road that followed is a smooth and very enjoyable drive.

From Loch Ness onwards

Again passing some stunning scenery worth stopping and appreciating before the next area of interest.

One of the most famous Castles you cant miss on route to Isle of skye. Also our first castle from this trip.

An old bridge built c.1810 , no longer in use with legends of the water bringing youth to those who submerge themselves.

Neist Point

we made camp by the road leading to the lighthouse. on the most westerly part of Skye. though windy and with free roaming sheep it was a lovely evening to settle for.

What a lovely place , many interesting hills and formations of land i think best captured by the drone here.

Quiraing

A vast and expansive formation , dwarfing the town a miles away on the flat and proving a lengthy downhill drive.

A popular stop to dip your toes during lunch opposite Staffin Island

another stunning formation with an approximate 1 hour hike to see up close.

Edinburgh

Another stunning historical city worth a visit and some lunch in one of its many cafes serving high quality food and coffee
